Fail: Pragmatic Programmers

I just bought the Programming Erlang PDF from the Pragmatic Programmers. You'd think a PDF delivery would be instant because its, you know, a collection of bits. Wrong:

Thank You!

Thank you for your order. We'll process it just as fast as we can. Note: Your order contains a product to download. We're busy preparing your customized book; this normally takes an hour or less. (If you've ordered a pre-release book, your PDF will be shipped when the printed books are shipped.) When the book is ready, you'll be able to download it from the location below.

We'll send you an e-mail when the books are ready to download, and that e-mail will also contain the download location, but you might want to save this page, as e-mails have been known to go astray.

An hour to prepare a PDF? You have got to be kidding me. How could this take any longer than 800 milliseconds? Maybe they should use Erlang to solve their concurrent processing problem... Oh well, back to looking at photos of iJustine.tv for the next hour.
